The meeting has been awarded 5 Category 1 CPD credits.

I attach an up-to-date programme which I hope you will enjoy. The programme is excellent with many high calibre international speakers.

Car parking (cost £4 for the day) will be provided in the staff car park. After turning into the Gartnavel campus from Great Western Road, proceed in the right hand lane for 50yards and turn right at the traffic lights onto Shelley Road (behind the Pond Hotel). Proceed for 500 yards to the staff car park on your left. A member of staff will direct you to the designated parking area.

There is a short walk from the car park to the Beatson Institute (please see map). There will be signs at the front and rear entrances of the Beatson Institute directing you to the Education centre.

Registration / coffee will be from 9.00 - 9.25am. There is a cloakroom for coats. You will pick up your information pack including programme and CPD certificate in the foyer outside the lecture theatre.

Note, the meeting has attracted several sponsors and they will set up their stands in the corridor along from the foyer. I would encourage you to visit the stands during breaks as they have been generous in their support.

After the McGibbon lecture, a buffet lunch will be in the large tutorial room on the third floor (sign-posted) but members are encouraged to remain in the lecture hall for the AGM. During the lunch break, there will a visit to the new PET CT scanner for interested parties. More information on the day.

The afternoon begins with the registrars presentations and we are still looking for more. Please encourage your trainees to submit any presentations and contact John Reid on john.reid_at_borders.scot.nhs.uk

You are not too late to join us for dinner (£35) on Thursday night (15.11.07) at 7.30pm at the Oran Mor restaurant at the top of Byres Road in the heart of Glasgow's West End. We have been given a private dining room and the menu is excellent. If you want come along, send me a cheque for £35 and I will book you in.
