Dear Colleague
On behalf of my co-organiser, Alison Armour and myself, I would like to invite you to the autumn meeting of the Scottish Radiological Society, which is being held at the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, 232-242 St Vincent Street, Glasgow on Saturday 1st November 2003.
I enclose a copy of the programme for each of the imaging and oncology sections. You will see from the programme that the afternoon is a joint session on the role and usage of PET scanning, culminating with the McGibbon Lecture which is to be given by Professor Alan Rodger, the new Director at the Beatson Oncology Centre, Glasgow, entitled 'The Future of Oncology Services'.
There are many highlights to note from the two programmes and I hope you will be able to come to what promises to be a most enjoyable and interesting meeting. I have applied to the RCR and anticipate being awarded 6 CME credits.
The registration fee of £30.00 covers morning coffee, a hot buffet lunch and afternoon tea.
I hope you will be able to join us at the end of the afternoon, for an aperitif and dinner at the Thai Fountain Restaurant at Charing Cross. Dinner has been timed at 6pm to allow those travelling from further afield to get home in good time.
