These workshops are based on existing renal stent workshops which have been
running successfully for the last 4 years in Glasgow. They are designed with
the following objectives:
- appropriate selection of patients for angioplasty/stenting
- live case demonstrations of renal stents
- angiographic and clinical follow up
- doppler techniques for renal artery stenosis
- transplant revascularisation
- complications and how to deal with them
- hands on stent deployment using simulator model
A new feature is multicentre live case transmission from other Scottish
teaching hospitals using a fibreoptic AV link.
